Or, Fear the MacGuffin!

Ever wonder what it would be like if someone turned their D&D campaign into a fantasy book? Well, there are a lot of good examples out there... and by good, I mean "eye-bleedingly bad."

Which brings us to The Dragonstone.Pretty much 95% of this book is about assembling the multinational team of heroes who are supposed to stop the world from ending or... some shit like that. Lesse we have the sexy cleric, the good-hearted thief, the big muscly warrior, the pretty elf chick, the samurai chick (huhwha?), a drunken old fart and the minstrel.

Also: prophecies are really confusing, and people who try to save the world are totally ineffectual.
